I am a true Jersey girl at heart (which means I love the beach, hate the Bennies, and you can't tell me where to get a good pizza, since I was born with the ability to figure that out myself). I have lived a majority of my life in the great Garden State, and two of the towns I lived in are the homes of two musical icons (I'll give you a hint: one of the towns was NOT Sayreville).
When I was seven years old, I found my true loves: Mets baseball and Duran Duran. Something-y years later, you will see that as an adult, this has shaped a lot of my interests, personality and views on the world. Of course, being an only child, growing up in the suburbs and being a product of a divorced family has done that as well.
I am a budding entrepreneur, with interest in learning how to build social media networks and how they impact business. However, I have worked on Wall Street a majority of my adult life.
I am socially liberal and a fiscal independent. If I wasn't married I would be one cat away from being the neighborhood cat lady. If my eyes aren't watering, my food isn't spicy enough. I <3 alcohol. If I ever left New York City, it would be for San Francisco. You can mostly find me visiting baseball stadiums in the summer. I am a 1/4 Scottish and a 1/4 Italian, therefore, I am 1/2 hair. I am addicted to Trader Joe's. My favorite television shows include Cheers, Golden Girls, Sex and the City and RuPaul's Drag Race. I am also a sucker for any trashy VH-1 reality shows. My favorite band of all time is U2, with Duran Duran a close second. Since I am from Jersey, I was born with the Bruce gene and apparently was exposed to his live music in the womb. I met my husband and coblogger on Facebook.
To channel one of my favorite movies, Forrest Gump (others include Animal House, Blues Brothers, Trading Places, Pulp Fiction, Sideways, Slumdog Millionaire)...that's all I have to say about that.
